- Scope
- Building, interiors, landscaping

The project
A heritage residence reconstructed around its one surviving original wall. The house keeps its historic character and is now built to modern standards: clad in cedar, with new bespoke joinery and Spanish-style clay roof tiles.
The open-plan living spaces are carried on extensive structural steel. The brief also took in an art room, wine cellar, bar, full-size garage and a studio apartment, with curved metal balustrades and detailed finishes throughout. The site sits high above Ōrākei Basin, set in extensive landscaping.
